Penny Reidy Marketing Manager

Penny commenced with Behind Closed Doors in 2016 as Marketing and Events Manager and is also a Luminaries Program Director in Adelaide.

As Program Director, Penny brings more than 15 years experience in marketing, communications and management from a range of industries including defence, higher education, not for profit and travel.

Her career has included positions in Adelaide, Canberra, USA and the UK providing exposure to working in varying cultures across both large corporate organisations and small business.

With experience managing a large communications team, as well as working as a sole operator, Penny’s diverse career gives her a distinct understanding of a wide cross-section of business and industry.

From strategic marketing planning to hands on tactical skills, Penny is a well-rounded marketing professional. A graduate journalist her skills range from copy writing, digital marketing, brand management, community engagement, sponsorship negotiation and activation and event management with a specialty in creating multi-layer marketing campaigns. She also has extensive tactical skills with a high level of understanding of digital marketing, web development, graphic design, social media and analytics.

Penny has worked on a number of large projects throughout her career, sat on a change management committee and worked on a large international merger and rebranding project. Her greatest career achievement was as Project Manager for BAE Systems’ global employee charity involvement project where she led the organisation in raising some 6 million pounds for charities.

Penny has a passion for travel and measures her success by the number of adventures she has had and the places she has visited.
