behind closed doors Executive Over Dinner is a membership exclusively for high level businesswomen to expand their knowledge and share their vast amount of business experience within their peer group.

Driven by demand from “time poor” Executives, the Over Dinner sessions were formed as an alternative to the Executive Membership.

The Perth Quarterly Wellness Sessions are facilitated by Tasha Broomhall, Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategist. The three-hour over dinner wellness sessions are themed on the topics of wellbeing, stress and performance.

Session 1 – Are you blooming? How your thoughts affect how you feel?

Wednesday 25 July 2018

What does mental health and wellbeing mean to you? And how is yours currently? Do you consider yourself to be resilient and strong? Do you thrive through challenges and bounce back from adversity? Or are you feeling overwhelmed?

We can’t always change the external circumstances in our lives, but we can do a lot to build our mental buoyancy so that we are able to face those circumstances in a way that better supports our mental health and wellbeing. Tasha will lead the group through research about mental health and wellbeing and provide an overview of models to better manage your mental processes, providing strategies to integrate into daily life. Meditation is an accessible tool many of us can use to boost our mental wellbeing and in each session we will learn a meditation technique that we can use ongoing to support our mental wellbeing.

Session 2 – Stress Agility, Tools for Life

Wednesday 24 October 2018

Ongoing high levels of stress can be detrimental for our brain and our functioning. Stress can affect our memory and concentration and it can make us vulnerable to clinical anxiety and depression. Sometimes our stress levels are peaking too often because of some of the choices we are making. Stress can be a great motivator, or a life destabiliser. In this session we will explore the role stress plays, how we can manage it proactively and the ways to integrate positive stress strategies into your daily life.

Session 3 – Meaning and Connectedness

Wednesday 30 January 2019

Are you existing on a treadmill of life where you spend day after day, and week after week doing the same drudgery? Are you caught in a well-worn rut from your bed to work, and then home to bed again? Is this all you live for – to go through the drudgery day after day? Or is there more to life for you?

Finding meaning and living a values-based life helps us to optimise our mental wellbeing. When people experience adversity it often helps them to refocus on what’s important to them and they make significant changes to prioritise their wellbeing and the relationships that sustain them, but why wait for challenges to do this? In this session we will explore how we can live our values and stay connected positively in our relationships ongoing, not just when life teaches us valuable lessons to recalibrate us.

Meditation is an accessible tool many of us can use to boost our mental wellbeing and in each session we will learn a meditation technique that we can use ongoing to support our mental wellbeing.

Session 4 – Healthy Brains

Wednesday 24 April 2019

Often, we don’t prioritise ourselves and our self-care. We don’t take the time or put in the energy to look after ourselves. With so much information around nutrition and exercise it can be easy to be overwhelmed. In this session we will be joined by special guest Julie Meek, Dietician and Peak Performance Specialist who will outline what we really need to know to manage our nutrition and exercise needs. We will also explore how we build self-care into our daily life.

Meditation is an accessible tool many of us can use to boost our mental wellbeing and in this final quarterly session, we will learn a meditation technique that we can use ongoing to support our mental wellbeing.

‘The case for greater gender balance is obvious for Australian leaders. The opportunity to leverage untapped talent, and the productivity imperative, means that gender should be on the national agenda for years to come. There is just no justification for not…“getting in the game”.’
