Julie Humphrey

Julie Humphrey is an experienced senior executive and CFO who thrives on connecting people and ideas. She likes to challenge the status quo to stimulate innovation, growth and improve organisational and individual performance.

Julie is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand since 2001 and has a Bachelor of Commerce.

Julie can provide extensive experience and guidance in project and change management to guide with creating structure and processes to break down complex and large transformations into simple, clear and achievable goals and projects.

Julie is able to help clients understand and improve communication and engagement with all levels from the Board, external stakeholders and individual staff. Julie’s strengths include leading and assisting with improving financial sustainability in various organisations through establishing financial governance, internal controls and increasing profitability.

Julie has broad experience across industry sectors including working for PwC, Deloitte, corporate, local, state and federal government, utilities, FMCG, defence, not for profit, aged care, community and cultural services across Australia and New Zealand.

Julie has demonstrated leadership and can provide coaching to navigate complex and diverse functions including;

Finance, Strategy, Governance, Risk, Procurement, Legal, HR, WHS, Compliance, IT, Customer Service, Corporate planning and reporting and Corporate secretariat for Boards and Committees.

Julie has proven her ability to facilitate individuals and teams to think logically, analytically, strategically, laterally and creatively.  She enjoys working with others to help them challenge their thinking, biases and beliefs to help them grow both personally and professionally. She has won awards for continuous improvement, volunteer management and risk management solutions.

Her passion and energy for continuous improvement is infectious and provides a solid basis for developmental and leadership coaching for a range of executives and leaders. Julie is an authentic professional and provides the following values and strengths:

Julie is currently an independent member of the Mildura Health Fund Audit Committee and St Paul’s School Advisory Board. She has a strong commitment to the community and has held previous roles on advisory Boards, not for profit committees and organisations. Julie is a mother to two girls, has trekked the Kokoda track and runs her own business, Humphrey Consulting.
