Amanda Pulford
Amanda has over 20 years’ experience in leadership, and is passionate about working with individuals and collectives to co-create a space where everyone can thrive.
As the Director of Awaken Consulting, Amanda works with leaders in executive coaching and leadership development. Amanda has consulted with leaders in private and public settings, in individual and group situations. Amanda’s uniqueness in this space is her solid grounding in Clinical Psychology, which allows her to see deeper into an individual and a collective.
Amanda’s personal experience in leadership has spanned over two decades, including leading teams within an FMCG environment in the areas of event management, human resources, public relations, and marketing, together with contributing in a Senior Leadership capacity.
Amanda’s passion is walking with leaders; assisting with a deeper understanding of self and others, unlocking patterns that hold individuals or collectives back, and releasing the potential for future flourishing. Amanda also has a niche focus on psychological safety, trauma and how traumatic experiences impact us (both in challenging ways and in our growth). Diving deep into what trauma is, how it impacts on an individual and a collective, how we can heal trauma, and creating psychological safety are integral in our current uncertain and volatile times to offer individuals and teams the ability to thrive.
Through creating a safe, professional, and trusting environment Amanda aims to assist individuals and collectives to learn ways of working differently with their challenges, and to offer support through difficult times and personal growth.
Amanda is a Clinical Psychologist, and holds a Bachelor of Psychology Honours degree (First Class) and a Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Amanda’s work is underpinned by Integral Theory and STAGES Levels of Development as they relate to the individual and the individual as a leader, enhanced by her clinical knowledge and expertise.
