Sheena Polese

Sheena Polese is a passionate and highly qualified leadership and development coach committed to bringing out the best in people both personally and professionally.

Sheena’s coaching education combined with more than twenty-five years of organisational experience in cultural change, employee engagement, strategic planning, public affairs, sustainability and innovation, makes her well equipped to provide developmental and leadership coaching to a range of executives and leaders.

Sheena holds qualifications including a Master of Science, Psychology of Coaching from Sydney University and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Sheena integrates her education and extensive experience with her evidence based coaching approach and understands what it takes to achieve success and effective leadership in an organisation. Sheena has worked extensively with senior leaders and teams to improve effectiveness and business results. Sheena focuses on leaders developing the proven behaviours that result in leadership effectiveness while also responding to the specific growth and development opportunities available to each client and their respective organisation.

Sheena works with clients to enable them to develop a deeper understanding of their personal goals, values, motives and leadership style. Sheena believes in the value of coaching and that it’s an enabler of developing self-awareness, builds the many skills of how to lead and develop other team members, builds perspective and purpose, and ultimately drives increased effectiveness in the workplace and increased life satisfaction in general. While coaching has many external benefits, the coaching techniques that Sheena incorporates, also enable the personal development and wellbeing of clients.

Sheena has personally navigated switching industries, changing roles and doing a career pivot. Sheena has coached many people navigate their challenges, improve their performance and support their personal growth. Coaching is one of the key levers for leaders wishing to increase their effectiveness and Sheena uses a range of tools and techniques to facilitate growth while respecting and supporting the navigation of the complexity and volatility leaders work amongst.

Sheena is the President of the NSW International Coaching Federation, Co-Chair of the Sydney Dinner Committee and on the Australia Committee for Human Rights Watch, She is also mother to 3 teenagers and runs her own coaching practice, FitMind coaching.
