Sheree has over 23 years’ experience in entrepreneurship, manufacturing, supply chains, tourism and hospitality. Sheree has walked the journey of starting something from nothing, risking it all, and exiting at the other end.
Sheree finished University with a Bachelor of Music (jazz piano major) and headed straight into the world of Entrepreneurship. She came from a family of risk takers, hard workers, and a culture of ‘let’s give it a go’. Her parents had a fledgling goat dairy and a start-up tiny cheese factory in the regional Adelaide Hills and were working full time elsewhere to bring money in. They employed a cheese maker who subsequently resigned within 6 months. Sheree put her hand up for the job and said, “I’ll do it – I’ll give you a five-year commitment – I’ll teach myself how to make cheese, I’ll get the brand and systems established, I’ll generate profit”.
Sheree, and later husband Saul who joined her, invested into the business and together the lead and grew what was a small niche business into one of Australia’s largest Brie and Camembert manufacturers. In late 2017 they attracted the attention of Japanese heavyweight diary company Megmilk Snow Brand, who subsequently purchased the business. Sheree continued in the role of Chief Executive elevating a start-up family run business to an Australian corporate subsidiary of an international dairy company. Sheree explains “It didn’t feel like my baby anymore, it felt like my grandchild”
After finishing their tenure at Udder Delights Australia, Sheree is now into her third start up with husband Saul and becoming craft brewers and running a large hospitality venue ‘Grunthal Brew’ in the Adelaide Hills. It employed over 40 staff and hit third year target goals within 6 months of opening.
While Sheree is a chief everything officer, she has honed her skills in:
product cost accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting
new product development
strategy and problem solving
process improvement
branding, marketing and public relations
human resource
start-ups and growing a business
corporate governance

crisis management

Sheree and Saul are the proud parents of two daughters and together have managed business and family commitments. They live in the Adelaide Hills and love the good life it has to offer them.
